Who am I? why am I here? How can I thrive?

The spherical pattern of 12 is found historically throughout the world.  The 12 around 1 pattern includes the wholeness of the self in the center, surrounded and supported by 12 equal aspects.  Each aspect interacts with the others and meets in the middle as personal expression.

During the natural experience of living, sometimes aspects of ourselves get distorted.  Some are expressed more, some less, and the imbalances turn into things like discomfort, diseases, judgements, and thought patterns we struggle to overcome.  Through the process of cross-examination of the aspects and how they interact with each other we can move from dissonance in ourselves to clear internal communication, which then becomes clear communication with our external world.

Consider the value of each aspect as being in equal standing with no one voice dominating the conversation and no single aspect carrying more authority than another.  Wherever there is a block, communication is hindered.  Allowing each aspect equal value in life gives the individual sovereign power.

Through the process of harmonization, we might discover that one aspect steps forward and speaks in a specific situation while another aspect steps down to support the message.  Differing and flexible levels of communication create a harmony that allows for genuine individual expression.

Explore some of the questions that might be asked:

Spirit: The aspect that is innate

  • Do I know who I am, beneath the “shoulds” and “should nots”?
  • Do I have a clear understanding of what my own spirit is like?

Ego: The aspect that doubts

  • Do I allow myself to see things from different perspectives?
  • Am I limited by my doubts?

Mind: The aspect that inquires

  • Do I ask questions of myself honestly, and accept answers that are different than I may have anticipated?
  • Am I flexible with my views, including how I view myself?

Action: The aspect that manifests

  • Do I confidently take action or do I sit and wait?
  • What steps am I already taking to move forward in my life?

Source: The aspect that is unending

  • What do I have in common with all life?
  • What are my beliefs about the creation and evolution of our reality?


DNA: The aspect that is inherited

  • What are the challenges I have inherited and what are the gifts?
  • Will I be a good ancestor for future generations: Am I choosing to be an ancestor or choosing not to be?

Earth: The aspect that grounds

  • How do I treat my physical body?
  • How is that mirrored in how I treat the earth?

Soul: The aspect that yearns

  • Am I clear about what I desire?
  • Are my yearnings coming from my soul or from societal conditioning?

Heart: The aspect that leads

  • How is my heart open and how is it closed?
  • Do I trust my own guidance?

Emotion: The aspect that feels

  • Are my feelings and emotions clear to me?
  • Do I identify myself as those things or do I see them as mutable?

Power: The aspect that fuels

  • When I express my own driving force, does it empower others to do the same or does it disempower others?
  • Do I express loudly, or do I hold my power in reserve?

Aura: The aspect that exudes

  • What do I sense from my environment that I can’t necessarily explain?
  • What am I expressing unconsciously that might be affecting those around me?
