Daughters of Misogyny

We’re born into it… We did not choose it…
This hatred of Mother was how they proved it
To think of a woman as less than a man
Rather than an equal co-creating a plan
To consider her life as less value than his
And the matters of the heart unloved.
 
We’re raised into to it… and then we choose it
This behavior we’re taught plays right to it
The woman’s ideas are silly and vain
Their thoughts and feelings must only be pain
And consider her life as less value than his
For the matters of the heart are unloved
 
History taught us and systems brought us
a story of fame and religion and blame
Where women are lower on the food chain
and nothing but pain must they gain
Where MAN is the KING and the one who will sing
And tell all the world a lie
That he is the one and she is undone
And Misogyny is the law of the land.

We broke right through it… and thought to change it
So children we bear would not have to do it
We loved the ones who believed those things
No matter the hate and pain it brings
And forged a new path for Her to be loved
So the matters of the heart are beloved
 
The Mother of All stands strong all through IT
She knows that her children just must do IT
And learn to love the feminine being
Her heart and her passion, her sight and her being
So children that follow would know all their lives
That woman and mother gives all of her life
 
This takes not away from the power of man
But brings him home to a compassionate tone
Of loving and giving – of serving and living
Not above or below and no score to know
The battle for matters of the heart has been won
And misogyny is known no more.
 
We daughters can do it and we can prove it
The systems of men have nothing to do with it
It’s only our love and our strength from within
That empowers each other and lets love win
So future generations of they and them
Will all be equal without and within
And matters of the heart win the day.
